Upcoming Training Programs – Vehicle Dynamics and Exercise Design
Posted by tscotti on October 9, 2009
Course Dates – October 15th & 16th
COURSE OVERVIEW
This innovative train-the-trainer course is specifically designed to provide driving instructors with the knowledge, skill and ability to:
Design scenario-based exercises which closely replicate specific driving conditions, operating environments and hazards.
Conduct exercises that support the gathering of specific information and data that allow for the testing and evaluation of an individual driver’s performance.
Use readily available tools and easily applied concepts to collect and analyze the data needed to objectively evaluate a driver’s ability to perform effectively in a wide variety of situations.
CURRICULUM
This program consists of classroom-based discussion, followed by extensive hands-on learning through instructor led practical exercises. Core subjects that will be covered in-depth include:
An Objective Approach to Training and Evaluation
Fundamentals of Vehicle Dynamics
Critical Measurements, Formulas and Equations
Translating Technical Information into Useful Information
Practical Application of Vehicle Dynamics
Exercise Design Parameters
What the Exercise Tells Us
Identifying and Correcting Problems
Building Block Approach to Training/Evaluation
OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of the course, participants will have an in-depth understanding of how the laws of physics and the science of vehicle dynamics – how forces placed upon a moving vehicle effect its performance – can be applied to driver training as a means of both improving driver performance and maximizing the effectiveness of available training time.
With this new found knowledge, participants will have the ability to develop an objective driver performance evaluation process and describe the findings of the evaluation process in plain language that clearly articulates the importance and value of performance measures, quantifies the individual student’s improvement in driving ability and identifies areas for improvement.
The cost of this program is $750.00.
