Tony Scotti Bio
Starting in the early 70’s the initial Scotti School training programs were conducted mostly in South America. The early 1970’s had brought about an alarming number of successful kidnappings and assassinations directed at the government and business community. Perhaps most importantly, the fact that the vast majority of these attacks were taking place while the victim was in a vehicle and, in many cases, while being accompanied by a driver and/or bodyguard. Tony was asked to take a closer look at how these attacks were being carried out. As he began to analyze numerous incidents not only from South America, but also from Europe and the Middle East it became apparent that many of these attacks shared a common thread; they were recognizable and avoidable – if someone knew what to look for and what to do when trouble presented itself. Thus the concept of formalized, highly advanced, evasive driver training was introduced here in the U.S.
Since the 70’s Tony has catered to the training needs of industry and public service agencies. He has trained governments, corporations, law enforcement agencies and military organizations to avoid the terrorist threat. For four decades Tony has conducted training programs in over 30 countries, and he has trained students from sixty-four countries and conducted training programs on five continents. He has conducted more training programs in more locations than any other private training institution in the world.
He has combined his experience working in High Risk Areas and his engineering skills, (He holds a B.S. in Engineering from Northeastern University) to pioneer most of the concepts used in Security Driver Training. Tony used the experienced gained analyzing incidents to develop a mathematical model of vehicle attacks. This model was used to create scenario based exercises designed to train and measure driver ability. The programs blend the science of vehicle dynamics with firsthand experience gained while conducting real world security operations in moderate and high risk locales around the globe. For four decades he has been teaching students around the globe the critical skills needed to survive a life threatening situation while behind the wheel.
His training continues with Tony Scotti’s Vehicle Dynamics Institute.

I think Tony is a true idol! I took a seminar with him and his son in L.A. and I could tell that they both had wisdom that was incomparable. I don’t have many role models in which to look up to but since I listened to them I would say they are top of my list, thank you for your training and insight!
